서울 비르투오지 챔버 오케스트라는 이상적인 실내악 음향을 실현하고자 음악감독 이경선을 중심으로 한국 음악계를 이끌어가는 뛰어난 연주자들이 결성한 음악단체이다. 2015년 2월에 창단하여 8월 대전실내악 축제를 기점으로 예술의 전당, 대전 문화 예술의 전당, 안산 문화 예술의 전당, 광주 금호아트홀 등 한국의 대표적인 콘서트 홀 등에서 성공적인 공연을 해 왔으며, 대전 실내악 축제, 창원 실내악 축제, 곤지암 페스티벌 등의 음악제에 참여해왔다. 2016년 상하이 음악원과 상하이 한국 문화원에 초청되어 첫 해외공연을 성황리에 마무리함으로서 한국 클래식의 국제적 위상을 한층 높이는 데 공헌하였다.
2017-2018년에는 세종문화회관 산하의 북서울 꿈의숲 아트센터의 상주단체로 선정되어 지역 음악의 발전과 클래식 저변 확대에 힘써왔다. 2018년 4월 창원 실내악 축제 오프닝 연주, 8월 부산 문화회관 초청 연주, 8월 대전 국제 음악제 초청 연주 등을 하였고, 10월에는 예술의 전당 IBK홀에서 정기연주회를 하였다. 2019년 8월 광주 아시아 문화의 전당, 9월 예술의 전당 콘서트홀 정기연주회, 12월 IBK홀에서 정기 연주회가 예정되어 있다.
서울 비르투오지 챔버 오케스트라는 완벽에 가까운 예술성 높은 연주로 실내악의 진수를 보여주고 있다는 평을 듣고 있으며, 진지한 자세로 한국 클래식 음악의 미래를 이끄는 실내악단으로 큰 걸음을 내딛고 있다.

Seoul Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra

Seoul Virtuosi is a conductorless orchestra comprising 15 string players led by the most eminent Korean violinist Kyung Sun Lee (Professor of Seoul National University). With tangible communicative force, Seoul Virtuosi strengthens communities by creating interactive musical dialogues among performers and audiences alike.
Seoul Virtuosi started its official schedule from 2015 performing repertoire ranging from the Baroque period to the 20th century. In 2015, Seoul Virtuosi was invited to play at renowned concert halls such as Seoul Arts Center, Sejong Culture Center, Dejeon Arts Center, Ansan Culture Center, Gwangju Kumho Art Hall, Ilsan Hall, Pangyo Grium Hall, SNU Concert hall, while also being invited to Music Festivals such as Daejeon Chamber Music Festival, Taean International Music Festival and Park ChangSoo’s ‘The House Concert’.
In 2016, starting off with performances at Pangyo Grium Hall and the New Year Music Festival in Park ChangSoo’s ‘The House Concert’, they continued to give regular performances at Seoul Arts Center, Ilsan hall, LG Arts Center, Daejun Arts Center, Daejon Yungsung Church, Daejeon Chamber Music festival. The orchestra is scheduled to perform at a Music Festival by KBS Radio in September and a Christmas Concert at the Seoul Arts Center IBK Chamber Hall in December.
In addition, Seoul Virtuosi Group runs music competitions every year to foster young talented artists and is providing the winners of these competitions with master classes and performance opportunities.
Seoul Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra has been the artist-in-residence at the Dream-forest Art Center in Seoul since 2017.
