Yejin Noh is one of the most talented artist who can impress the audience on any stage with her outstanding technique and musicality.
Noh was born in Seoul and began her piano study at the age of four. She received her Bachelor’s degree at Seoul National University. Noh continued her studies at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in USA, where she obtained Artist’s Diploma and Master of Music degree with Menahem Pressler and Arnaldo Cohen. She received her Doctor of Musical Art degree at Seoul National University.
She has been prize winners in Washington International Competition for piano in 2011, San Antonio International Piano Competition, Wideman International Piano Competition in 2012, Southern Highlands International Piano Competition in 2013, Takamatsu International Piano Competition in 2014, and FVG International Piano Competition in 2016. Most recently, she was the finalist in Montreal International Piano Competition in 2017.
She has performed with many renowned orchestras, including Montreal Philharmonic Orchestra, Bacau Philharmonic Orchestra, Seto Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia which was broadcast on Belgacom television and RTBF radio, Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra, Shreveport Symphony Orchestra and also with top Korean orchestras including Korean Symphony Orchestra, KBS Philharmonic Orchestra, Sungnam Philharmonic Orchestra, Daegu Philharmonic Orchestra, Prime Philharmonic Orchestra and Seoul National University Orchestra.
Noh was invited as a soloist to perform recitals in San Antonio, Portland and surrounding cities in USA, also in Takamatsu, Japan. She also have been performing solo recitals at Seoul Arts Center almost every year.
Noh released her 1st solo album <Haydn: Piano Sonatas Hob.XVI:24, 52, 46 & 48> in 2019, and 2nd album <Franz Liszt: Piano Sonata, Reminiscences de Norma> in 2021, all through NCM KLASSIK, which is a leading classical music recording label in Korea. Noh also played piano for the recording of the renowned violinist Kyung-Sun Lee’s <Brahms: The 3 Sonatas for Violin and Piano> in 2019.
Currently, she is actively performing both as a solo artist and as a member of various chamber music stages, while as a lecturer in various schools including Seoul National University.
