Pianist Yejin Noh

   

피아니스트 노예진은 뛰어난 기교와 탁월한 음악성으로 어떤 무대에서도 관객들을 감동시킬 수 있는 보기 드문 아티스트다.

2017년 몬트리올 국제 피아노 콩쿨 파이널리스트에 올랐고, FVG 국제 피아노 콩쿨(2016), 다카마츠 국제 피아노 콩쿨(2014), 서든 하이랜즈 국제 피아노 콩쿨(2013), 샌 안토니오 국제 피아노 콩쿨(2012), 와이드먼 국제 피아노 콩쿨(2012), 워싱턴 국제 피아노 콩쿨(2011) 등 여러 국제 콩쿨에서 수상했다. 퀸엘리자베스 국제 피아노 콩쿨, 하마마츠 국제 피아노 콩쿨, 지나 박하우어 국제 피아노 콩쿨에서는 세미 파이널리스트에 올랐다. 국내에서도 수리전국음악콩쿨 대상, KBS 신인음악콩쿨 은상, 음연콩쿨 1위, 성정음악콩쿨 1위, 한미콩쿨 1위 등을 수상했다. 또한 코리안 심포니 오케스트라 라이징스타 오디션, 서울대학교 협주곡 오디션, 인디애나 음대 협주곡 오디션 등에서 모두 우승을 차지한 바 있다.

몬트리올 필하모닉 오케스트라(캐나다), 바커우 필하모닉 오케스트라(이태리), 세토 필하모닉 오케스트라(일본), 왈롱 로얄 체임버 오케스트라(벨기에), 서베너 필하모닉 오케스트라, 슈브리포트 심포니 오케스트라, 인디애나 심포니 오케스트라(이상 미국), 코리안 심포니 오케스트라, KBS 교향악단, 성남시립교향악단, 대구시립교향악단, 대구MBC 교향악단, 프라임 필하모닉 오케스트라, KT 심포니 오케스트라, 서울대학교 관악 오케스트라 등 국내외 오케스트라들과 협연했고, 미국 샌 안토니오 심포니 스트라우스 페스티벌 초청 독주회(2014), 미국 포틀랜드 피아노 인터내셔널 초청 순회 독주회(2015), 일본 다카마츠 초청 솔로 및 듀오 연주회(2015, 2018), 주희성 & 노예진 피아노 듀오 콘서트(2018), 예술의전당 독주회(2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) 등 다양한 무대에 올랐다.

또한 국내 클래식 전문 레이블 NCM Klassik에서 2018년 첫 솔로 음반 <하이든: 피아노 소나타>를, 2021년에는 <리스트: 피아노 소나타, 노르마의 회상>을 발표하며 뛰어난 음악성을 유감없이 보여주었고, 2019년엔 피아니스트 이진상, 김태형과 함께 바이올리니스트 이경선의 <브람스: 바이올린과 피아노를 위한 3개의 소나타> 음반 레코딩에 참여하며 KBS음악실 방송출연과 듀오 리사이틀을 함께 하기도 했다.

피아니스트 노예진은 예원학교와 서울예술고등학교를 거쳐, 서울대학교 음악대학을 전체수석으로 졸업했다. 이후 인디애나 음대에서 석사 학위를 취득하고 최고 연주자 과정(Artist Diploma)을 이수했고, 2019년 서울대학교 음악대학 박사 학위를 취득했다. 주희성, 최승혜, 메너헴 프레슬러(Menahem Pressler), 아날도 코헨(Arnaldo Cohen)을 사사했다.

현재 서울대, 세종대, 서울예고, 선화예고, 예원학교 등에 출강함과 동시에 어울림 뮤직 캠프, 온드림 앙상블 음악캠프, 유로 아트 아카데미 마스터클래스, 가와이 페스티벌 마스터클래스 등에 교수진으로 초청받아 교육자로서도 활발히 활동하고 있다.

Yejin Noh Biography

Yejin Noh is one of the most talented artist who can impress the audience on any stage with her outstanding technique and musicality.

Noh was born in Seoul and began her piano study at the age of four. She received her Bachelor’s degree at Seoul National University. Noh continued her studies at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in USA, where she obtained Artist’s Diploma and Master of Music degree with Menahem Pressler and Arnaldo Cohen. She received her Doctor of Musical Art degree at Seoul National University.

She has been prize winners in Washington International Competition for piano in 2011, San Antonio International Piano Competition, Wideman International Piano Competition in 2012, Southern Highlands International Piano Competition in 2013, Takamatsu International Piano Competition in 2014, and FVG International Piano Competition in 2016. Most recently, she was the finalist in Montreal International Piano Competition in 2017.

She has performed with many renowned orchestras, including Montreal Philharmonic Orchestra, Bacau Philharmonic Orchestra, Seto Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia which was broadcast on Belgacom television and RTBF radio, Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra, Shreveport Symphony Orchestra and also with top Korean orchestras including Korean Symphony Orchestra, KBS Philharmonic Orchestra, Sungnam Philharmonic Orchestra, Daegu Philharmonic Orchestra, Prime Philharmonic Orchestra and Seoul National University Orchestra.

Noh was invited as a soloist to perform recitals in San Antonio, Portland and surrounding cities in USA, also in Takamatsu, Japan. She also have been performing solo recitals at Seoul Arts Center almost every year.

Noh released her 1st solo album <Haydn: Piano Sonatas Hob.XVI:24, 52, 46 & 48> in 2019, and 2nd album <Franz Liszt: Piano Sonata, Reminiscences de Norma> in 2021, all through NCM KLASSIK, which is a leading classical music recording label in Korea. Noh also played piano for the recording of the renowned violinist Kyung-Sun Lee’s <Brahms: The 3 Sonatas for Violin and Piano> in 2019.

Currently, she is actively performing both as a solo artist and as a member of various chamber music stages, while as a lecturer in various schools including Seoul National University.
